Reflect & live it

  1. The Person Before the Position: Are you able to see the person in front of you before their title or status? Try practicing this by giving equal respect to everyone – regardless of their role or position.

  2. Being a Mensch: What makes someone worthy of respect in your eyes? Do you live by the same expectations you have of others? Where can you grow?

How Yarin lived

Yarin, eldest son of Shira and Oren, and brother to Elay, was captain of the basketball team at De-Shalit High School and poured his heart into sports. Maccabi Rehovot became his second home. Despite being an outstanding athlete, he enlisted in the Givati Reconnaissance Unit, where he served as a team commander. He was known as a commander whose whole heart belonged to his soldiers, and for his ability to see the person in front of him and meet them with humility and compassion. He was killed in battle in Khan Yunis while leading his fighters. He was 22 years old when he fell.
