How Ephraim lived
Ephraim, son of Liat and Shmuel, brother to Elisheva, Binyamin, Yosef, Chana Esther, Avigail, and Rivka, served in the Givati Brigade. He studied at Yerucham Yeshiva and was a talented musician who played many instruments. During fighting in Gaza, he composed the melody “Min HaMeitzar” with his friend Matanel Lisner. He lived with a deep commitment to personal growth and always strove to be better. In battle at Daraj al- Tufah, he volunteered to go out with the Negev machine gun to cover and rescue wounded friends from a building, saving lives. He was severely wounded and later died of his injuries. He was 21 years old when he fell.
