Video reflection

The video reflection for this day has not yet been published.

Each day’s reflection is offered by a rabbi, educator, or Jewish leader from somewhere in the world, and appears here on its day of light.

Reflect & live it

  1. Letting Go: What do you need to let go of in your life in order to move forward? What self- perceptions are holding you back from pursuing your goals?

  2. Loving and Smiling: What kind of energy do you radiate to those around you? How do you express love to the people in your life?

How Nadav lived

Nadav, son of Michal and Ely, brother to Itai, Galit, Yuval, and Ortal, husband to Hadar and devoted father to Yaar, was born and raised in Ginot Shomron. He served as a reserve sergeant major in 8th Brigade, Unit 121 (Chermesh). On October 7th, he was abroad, and when he heard about the events, he returned to Israel quickly. He served more than 200 days in reserves. He was known as energetic and joyful, proactive, always in action – radiating joy and spreading light. He fell in battle on the Netzarim corridor when his body absorbed a blast and saved his team. He was 30 years old when he fell.
