Video reflection

The video reflection for this day has not yet been published.

Each day’s reflection is offered by a rabbi, educator, or Jewish leader from somewhere in the world, and appears here on its day of light.

Reflect & live it

  1. Inner Light: How do you share light and joy even in difficult moments? What is the source of your positivity?

  2. Doing Good: How do you contribute – even in small ways – to the lives of others? What part of your dream can add good to the world?

How Osher lived

Osher, daughter of Tiki and Lior, and sister to Sapir, Eden, Yarin, Yarden, and Chen, served as an Operations Sergeant at the Nahal Oz outpost in the Border Defense Corps. On October 7th, she worked until the final moments to alert forces and call for help, doing everything she could to save lives. She volunteered with Magen David Adom, studied neuroscience at the Weizmann Institute, and dreamed of becoming a brain surgeon. She was known for the light she radiated and the joy she brought wherever she went. Her smile is present in every photo she took. She was 19 years old when she fell.
