Sgt. Amit Tsur z”l

Amit, youngest son of Liora and Eyal, brother to Rotem and Yarden, grew up in Elyachin and served as a combat soldier in the 51st Battalion, Golani Brigade. He was a child filled with love – charismatic, opinionated, cheerful, and kind, always there for others. Initially placed in the Border Defense Corps, a month before his draft he insisted on enlisting to Golani and succeeded. On October 7th, on patrol with Ori Loker z"l and commander Itay Maor z"l, they were first to spot an attempted infiltration and fought bravely to defend the communities. In a determined and resourceful battle, Amit fell. He was 19 years old when he fell.
