Master Sgt. Avihay Amsalem z”l

Avihay, son of Ruth and Gavriel, and brother to Shira Emuna and Liraz, served as a reservist radio operator in the CO’s command team, 7008th Battalion, 551st Brigade. A beloved and valued employee at Elbit, he was an outstanding electrical engineering student. He lived with his wife and two daughters at the “Talpiot” youth village, where he was the foster father for 12 girls. He was known for his kindness, big smile, pursuit of excellence, creativity, and humility. He fell in battle during a clash with terrorists. His third daughter was born three months after his death. He was 30 years old when he fell.
