Sgt. Eli Moshe Zimbalist z”l

Eli Moshe, son of Sara and Simmy, brother of Nechama, Aviva, Shira, Avraham, Shoshana and Batsheva, served as the communications officer in the Adir company, 601st Battalion, Combat Engineering Corps. He was known as a devoted person, always ready to help – even before being asked. He built pergolas, swings, and more - from wood - with skill and love. He dreamed of being a civil engineer and building the land. Despite harsh combat conditions, he observed halakha and would organize a minyan whenever possible. He fought with his head held high, believing in the righteousness of the path. He fell in battle in Gaza, fulfilling his duties with dedication. He was 21 years old when he fell.
