How Noam lived

Noam and Ishay, sons of Tali and Rabbi Shmuel, were brothers to Uri, Avia, Shifra, Ishay, Yonatan (Ishay’s twin), and Zvi Yehuda. Noam was married to Adi and father to a son, and served in reserves with the Carmeli Brigade (Brigade 2). Ishay was married to Avia and father to a daughter, and served in reserves with the Oded Brigade (Brigade 9). On October 7th, they each left their homes in Be’er Sheva for combat and rescue missions. Side by side, they fought with bravery and on the same day – side by side – they fell in battle. Their father, a search company commander, returned to reserve duty right after the shiva to continue their legacy. Both were family men, models of generosity and devotion, role models of selfless service to others. Noam was 31; Ishay was 24.
