Video reflection
The video reflection for this day has not yet been published.
Each day’s reflection is offered by a rabbi, educator, or Jewish leader from somewhere in the world, and appears here on its day of light.
Reflect & live it
Unconditional Love: Is your love for those around you conditional or unconditional? As an exercise, try to find at least one lovable quality in each person you meet today – even if it's small.
Last Words: If you had to share final words with the people closest to you, what would you choose to say? How might that shape the way you treat them today?

How Aviv lived
Aviv, eldest son of Chanita and Ofer, brother to Ori, husband to Heli and father to Omer and Rani, grew up in Kibbutz Kfar Aza and was a member of the kibbutz emergency squad. He worked for “Syncopa” sound and lighting, also as a technical producer with singers Ivri Lider and Hanan Ben Ari. A devoted family man and loving father, he loved hosting friends and naturally brought people from different circles together. On October 7th, he was wounded defending the kibbutz and died that day from his injuries. His last words, “He loves everyone,” were his farewell to his family. He was 33 years old when he fell.
