Video reflection

The video reflection for this day has not yet been published.

Each day’s reflection is offered by a rabbi, educator, or Jewish leader from somewhere in the world, and appears here on its day of light.

Reflect & live it

  1. Creating a Path: When have you chosen to go off the beaten track? How do you dare to push boundaries and think differently?

  2. Legacy Footprints: What mark do you want to leave behind? What will people remember from your unique path? Try to define for yourself an area where you want to blaze a trail as your personal legacy.

Your private reflection

How Guy lived

Guy, son of Carmit and Yuval, brother to Tamar and Adi, was born in Paris, raised in Kochav Yair, and served in the 51st Battalion of the Golani Brigade. A gifted child with a keen sense of humor and adventurous spirit, on October 7th, when an incursion was reported at Kissufim, he went into battle without hesitation. He was the first to fire, deterring the terrorists and disrupting their plans. He fought, outnumbered, for three hours and evacuated a wounded comrade under fire until he was fatally wounded in the heart. He was 19 years old when he fell.

Born:
12 January 2004 (18 Tevet 5764)
Fell:
7 October 2023 (22 Tishrei 5784)
